We welcome you in De Plataan, a renovated house in one of the most famous and quiet streets of the centre. De Plataan lies next to the old canal the Coupure and offers a beautiful view on Ghent's oldest trees. In the 18th centuries the Ghent nobility use to parade on Sunday afternoon under the plane trees; today students come relax here between two examinations. De Plataan is an excellent backdrop for a splendid walk to the touristic attractions of Ghent. Our guest chamber is on the ground floor and looks out on a big garden full of domestic plants and fragrant roses. On sunny days you can idle and read there for hours. The chamber accommodates a small guest library measured on our guests, with books concerning Ghent, Belgian art and a selection Flemish literature in translation (French, English, German, etc.). In the room there is also coffee and tea and a free wifi-connection. Our house is an ideal starting poi nt for bicycle excursions around Ghent.
P.S. Since we only have one guestroom, unfortunately we can only accept reservations for at least two nights.
